Security Beefed Up At Aamir Khan's House
Aamir Khan's fiery remark on the growing religious intolerance in India has landed him in serious trouble.

Following the volatile reactions to his comment across the country, security has been beefed up outside the actor's residence in Bandra, Mumbai. The State Reserve Police Force has deployed a team of about 20 policemen outside his building.

Documentary filmmaker Ulhas PR has also filed a police complaint against Aamir at New Ashok Nagar Police Station in New Delhi, in response to his "growing disquiet" comment. Ulhas added that celebrities should "think about their status and duties" before making such statements.

It all started last night when the Dangal actor spoke his mind out at the Ramnath Goenka Excellence in Journalism Awards. "As an individual, as part of this country as a citizen, we read in the papers what is happening, we see it on the news and certainly, I have been alarmed. I can't deny. I have been alarmed by a number of incidents," he said. "When I chat with Kiran at home, she says 'Should we move out of India?' That's a disastrous and big statement for Kiran to make. She fears for her child. She fears about what the atmosphere around us will be. She feels scared to open the newspapers every day. That does indicate that there is this sense of growing disquiet, there is growing despondency apart from alarm. You feel why this is happening, you feel low. That sense does exist in me," he had said.
